The Herbert Wertheim UF Scripps Institute for Biomedical Innovation & Technology (UF Scripps) conducts leading biomedical research and education. Following its 2022 integration into the University of Florida, the institute required expanded communications support. SCAD Media delivered targeted branding, design, video, and editorial execution, ensuring clear, consistent messaging that aligns with UF Scripps’ scientific mission and growing institutional visibility.
We align messaging with research excellence, translating complex biomedical discoveries into clear, public-facing narratives and adaptive visuals for the general public as well as the scientific community.
All materials—from event collateral to editorial content—operate within a unified design system tailored to UF Scripps’ dual role as a research engine and educational institution.
Our work extends across departments and audiences: from graduate program promotion and media production to faculty profiles and stakeholder communications.
Through a multi-phase engagement, SCAD Media was tasked with implementing and extending brand alignment during a period of institutional transformation. As UF Scripps integrated into the University of Florida system away from it’s founding California institution and expanded its identity under UF governance, we supported the development and application of a unified visual system across digital, print, and environmental assets.
This work directly supports UF Scripps’ internal and external communications infrastructure, which is tasked with managing brand messaging, social media management, content production, outreach collateral, and cross-platform enrollment strategies. Our deliverables—ranging from social media promotions across all major platforms to print programs and digital public displays—operate within this infrastructure to ensure coherence, adaptability, and fidelity to the institute’s scientific mission.
The result is a visual language designed to translate biomedical complexity into a clear institutional presence, supporting faculty engagement, donor alignment, recruitment, and scientific credibility in equal measure.
Our work spans departments and audiences—supporting faculty storytelling, graduate recruitment, program promotion, and institutional events with targeted, audience-specific deliverables. This includes campaign development for student outreach initiatives such as the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellows (SURF) Program and the Kenan Fellows High School Internships, helping UF Scripps attract both national college applicants and local high school participants through focused digital engagement.
